We underestimate the impact a few simple words can have on our livesIn life, sometimes we have moments in which we realize we can do literally whatever we want. That doesn't mean doing it won't have consequences; it just means we're not chained to that job, for example, or obligated to go to the gym (I'm telling this to myself because I skipped my workout today, of course).So when that moment comes, our boss will be speaking to us and telling us something nasty, and we will quit on the spot, simply because we can.Maybe it will be easier to find a new job if we don't have our current one. We will be motivated. We will wake up without alarms. We won't hear the voice of that person we don't get along with anymore, and we, most importantly, won't have to put up with it anymore.Of course, I'm not advising anyone to do this; I understand there are situations where we simply can't afford it. I just wanted to shed light on those situations where we believe that we're trapped, but we're truly not, and we're actually one step away from freedom.An office is not everybody's place, and we should stop acting like it is.
