Public content
Rillr is a public news and discussion service. Usernames, submitted stories, comments, replies, vote totals, and other community activity may be visible publicly. You should not post information that you do not want made public.
Bookmarks are intended to be private account features unless Rillr specifically indicates otherwise.
Third-party sites and news sources
Rillr aggregates links to news stories and other material published by third parties. Clicking a story link may take you to a website that is not operated by Rillr. Those sites have their own privacy practices and terms. Rillr is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party websites.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security and moderation records, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Deleted or moderated content may be retained for a reasonable period in backups, audit records, security logs, or moderation systems even when it is no longer publicly displayed.
Security
Rillr uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for notifying Rillr if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your choices
Depending on the feature and applicable law, you may be able to update account information, remove optional account information, delete content, or request deletion of your account. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, moderation history, legal compliance, or legitimate operational purposes.
If you create an account without an email address and lose access to your password, account recovery may not be possible.
Children
Rillr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that information was collected from a child under 13 in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
