Drenched in a beautiful interpretation of Chinese mythology and an ambitious debut from Game Science, the stars aligned for it in a way that every developer entering the crowded space could hope for. If you haven't tried this excellent adventure with the Destined One, now's your chance, as it's cheaper than ever. Inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, you play as the Destined One, a mysterious monkey warrior tasked with recovering six relics tied to the senses of the legendary Sun Wukong. The Monkey King has been sealed in stone on Mount Huaguo for centuries, setting you off on a journey filled with mythical creatures, enormous bosses, and plenty of staff-based bonking. Admittedly, for someone who hasn't read or isn't familiar with the novel, it can be somewhat confusing when you initially play the game. However, you don't really need to understand the story to enjoy the adventure.
